MBFWMadrid is switching off the lights of its special edition, which commemorated the holding of its 75th edition, putting the finishing touch on a successful trajectory that has remained uninterrupted throughout the years. This is an event organized by IFEMA MADRID with the support of the Madrid City Council, which has fully recovered its vitality with 100% of its capacity, which has meant recovering figures similar to those recorded prior to the pandemic, with more than 50,000 attendees, who enjoyed a lineup of high-level runway shows, and especially attractive brand activations by the 18 sponsoring companies that added their support to this edition held from March 10 to 13. This has been a decisive event for designer fashion, where it has regained great prominence and the revival of the sector after a difficult period for the fashion industry in our country.

Strong Institutional Support

This anniversary has also been reinforced by the institutional commitment it received, which began with the participation of Her Majesty Queen Letizia on Friday 11 in a meeting with various representatives, designers and professionals from the sector, who shared their concerns and positions on the new challenges facing the industry. Later, she toured the Cibelespacio accompanied by the Minister of Education and Vocational Training, Pilar Alegría; Eduardo López-Puertas, general director of IFEMA MADRID; and Ana Larrañaga, director of Trade Fair Business of IFEMA MADRID; finishing with a family photo in which she was accompanied by the MBFWMadrid Fashion Committee and the designers of the lineup of this 75th edition.

Along with the support of the Royal House, the great platform of national fashion was marked by strong institutional support in this edition. During the different days of fashion shows, different representatives of the national government visited the catwalk, such as Miquel Iceta, Minister of Culture and Sports; Pilar Llop, Minister of Justice; Reyes Maroto, Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism; Raquel Sanchez, Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda... among other personalities of our country.

On Saturday, the L'Oréal Paris Award for Best Collection went to Redondo Brand, for her spectacular proposal on stage; and the L'Oréal Paris Award for Best Model went to Miriam Saiz as the winner.

Similarly, on Sunday, prior to the start of the Allianz EGO fashion show day, the winner of the second edition of the Allianz EGO Confidence in Fashion Award, Evade House, was recognized for its coherent, credible and radically contemporary discourse, its innovative aesthetics and its future projection.
