Sony Interactive Entertainment España (SIE España) today unveiled the activities it will offer during Madrid Games Week 2019 for all PlayStation® fans. The fair, which will be held next October 3, 4, 5 and 6 at IFEMA, will feature many activities at the brand's booth, which will carry 200 gaming booths and many surprises.

The company has unveiled the following activities it will offer to all its fans:

Dreams Zone:

Ariadna Castellanos and Dreams: Pianist and composer Ariadna Castellanos will perform two special live performances combining the possibilities of the title Dreams and her inseparable piano.

Demo Dreams by Media Molecule:

Pablo López Soriano, animator of the highly anticipated title Dreams, will demonstrate the potential of this spectacular title by Media Molecule. In addition, Abbie Heppe and Tom Dent, Media Molecule's Director of Communications and Community Manager respectively, will also delight visitors with live demos of the game.

EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Zone:

BEAT THE PRO FIFA 20: A "beat the pro" tournament will give fair attendees the opportunity to go head-to-head with the best Spanish FIFA 20 players: Gravesen, JRA Lion and Andonii PM, among others.

ALL STARS TOURNAMENT FIFA 20: the world's best FIFA players will meet on Saturday on the stage of the PS4 stand and play a small league against each other. For every goal scored during the competition, a donation of €100 will be made to the Juegaterapia foundation. Among them will be MoAuba, the reigning FIFA eWorld Cup 2019 champion, along with top Spanish players such as Gravesen, JRA Lion and Andonii PM.

In addition, the PlayStation® booth will feature a real soccer field where freestylers will be in charge of surprising visitors with their ball tricks. 

NBA Zone: NBA 2K20 will feature an official NBA half-court offering basketball-related activities throughout the day. A "beat the pro" tournament will be held there, where participants will be able to take on NBA 2K20's renowned player, Rafael TGR. In addition to this tournament, attendees will be able to enjoy the exhibitions of well-known streetballers, and participate in different challenges demonstrating their talent with the ball: three-pointers, free throws, 3-on-3, 1-on-1, etc.).

Gran Turismo® Sport Zone:

GT SPORT CHALLENGE + COQUE LÓPEZ AND MANURODRY: professional gamers Coque López and Manurodry will compete in a race as captains of two teams whose components will have been chosen throughout the day in the GranTurismo®Sport zone, at the PlayStation® stand.

PlayStation® arena area:

Top Gamers Academy: Top Gamers Academy, the world's first video game reality-talent, will be presented by some of its protagonists in the PlayStation® stand arena on Thursday. This initiative aims to bring the world of video games to the general public through an innovative and unprecedented project that combines training, competition and, above all, a lot of fun with video games as a common thread. The program will be produced by Gestmusic Endemol and Webedia and will have PlayStation® as a strategic ally, as well as the participation of Twitch, ATRESMEDIA and DeAplaneta. 

PlayStation®Now Quizz: visitors will be able to participate in the PlayStation®Now quiz to win fantastic prizes by demonstrating their knowledge of the platform.

PlayStation®Plus: the PlayStation® main stage will have a grandstand reserved only for PlayStation®Plus members, where users will be able to watch the stage activities and participate in different challenges to win fantastic prizes. In addition, the grandstand will have the presence of different partners such as: Burger King, Red Bull, Northweek, Pampling, Boxify and Morrison where members of the service will be able to enjoy their products for free during the fair.

Broadcasts from the PlayStation® Spain channel on Twitch during the days of the fair: All those who cannot attend Madrid Games Week, will be able to find out about all the news, eSports events, contests and other activities from the PlayStation® stand arena through the brand's new channel on Twitch.

Borderlands 3 Zone: Borderlands 3 will also be present at Madrid Games Week with several gaming booths. All attendees who come to try out the latest installment of the Borderlands franchise will win a bandit mask. The booth will feature the life-size Cyclone vehicle for fans of the game to climb into and take photos. In addition, visitors will be able to enjoy the photo-taking experience with well-known cosplayers who will be representing different characters from the Borderlands world.

Death Stranding Zone: Fans of the highly anticipated Death Stranding will be able to enjoy exclusive in-theater content behind closed doors, where, despite not being able to try the title, they will learn a little more about Hideo Kojima's exciting adventure.

Photo Opportunities Challenge: PlayStation® fans will be able to participate in a photo challenge throughout the brand's booth. Those who want the reward will have to take a photo in the Death Stranding area, with the friendly Sir Daniel Fortesque from MediEvil, with the Marvel's Spider-Man statue, with the UEFA Champions League cup in the EA SPORTS FIFA 20 area, with Deacon's motorcycle from Days Gone and with the PlayStation® symbols. Once they have collected all the photos and shared them with the hashtag #PlayStationMadridGamesWeek, they will be able to get their prize at the PlayStation®Plus counter.

PlayStation®Talents Zone: Also present at the fair will be the national support program for independent studios, PlayStation®Talents, which will have a special area with 40 game booths. Among them the 20 semifinalists for the 2019 PlayStation® Awards for which visitors will be able to vote. In this area, visitors will not only be able to learn more about the program, but will also be able to try out titles such as A Tale of Paper, Treasure Rangers and Aces of the Multiverse.

In addition, visitors will be able to attend a talk with Diego Freire, responsible for Communication and Marketing at Chibig. Diego will give the keys to the process of how to make a project like Summer in Mara, a project within the PlayStation®Talents Alliances initiative, known internationally.

PlayStation® Commitment Zone Likewise, a space has been set aside to bring visitors closer to PlayStation® Commitment, the area that the company dedicates to improving the lives of people, especially the youngest, through video games. PlayStation® Commitment also encourages the responsible use of video games by implementing concrete measures and promoting good habits.

Madrid Games Week, much more than a fair

As if this were not enough, in addition to its presence at the fair, PlayStation® will also be present at the various activities related to the world of video games that will take place during the week in the capital.

Madrid Games Week 19 Congress: Videogames, education, culture and health: on October 1 and 2, the videogame industry has an appointment with the different players in the sector. The event will take place in the auditorium of the Telefónica Foundation (Gran Vía de Madrid) and will be attended by experts in various disciplines who will help us understand the positive impact of gaming as a development tool in areas such as education, culture and health. Guerrilla Developers Day: on October 2, the Guerrilla Developers Day will be held, a meeting of video game developers around an intense program of conferences where industry professionals will share their experiences and know-how. Playlab Thyssen: Dreams: on October 4 and 5, the Thyssen Bornemisza Museum and PlayStation® Spain will invite young people and adults to participate in a unique digital creation event where they can experiment with the world of dreams based on the video game Dreams™ from the Media Molecule studio. In it they will test their creativity and develop ideas to put into practice through the title, which will be on sale soon. All the information can be found at this link.
