FIAA 2022 to have major participation by overseas companies
The Fair will be held in person, from 18th to 21st October 2022, at Recinto Ferial de IFEMA MADRID
The International Bus and Coach Trade Fair, FIAA 2022, will have a large proportion of international participants, with eleven top overseas manufacturers and coachbuilders confirmed so far.
Many of the overseas exhibitors who have confirmed their presence have also reserved more space than at previous editions. The others are attending the event for the first time with large stands. Other leading overseas firms are also finalising their participation to make this edition of FIAA the most international in its history.
These figures indicate that the Fair, organised by IFEMA MADRID at the Recinto Ferial from 18th to 21st October, will be a busy event arousing great expectation in the sector.
On 15th May, the first spaces were allocated to the first companies to confirm their attendance. As the sector’s leading event, the Fair arouses intense loyalty among exhibitors. Half of those who took part in the previous edition in 2017 have already renewed their participation for this year. Hall 9 of the Fair’s premises is already 80% booked.
After the long hiatus caused by the pandemic, the sector is eager for a trade fair and a face-to-face event, where close contact between supply and demand will be the key feature again.
FIAA 2022 once again has the renewed backing of the leading industry associations: The Confederation of Bus Transport (CONFEBUS), the National Coach Transport Business Association (ANETRA), the Association of Urban Public Transport Management Companies (ATUC), the Association of Coach Companies (DIREBUS), and the Portuguese Road Passenger Transport Association (ANTROP).
These industry associations will also be involved in the programme of talks on which FIAA is working. It will host engaging gatherings, including the award ceremony of the prestigious European MINIBUS of the YEAR award, which recognises outstanding achievements in the industry.
