Estudiar en España
The Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE) and IFEMA MADRID joined forces to hold the Second Study in Spain Fair, with the aim of publicizing, through a fair, the academic offerings of Spanish universities and affiliated centers in different parts of the world.
The last Study in Spain event took place in Mexico City on 8 and 9 November 2018.
The objective of the Study in Spain project is to bring the Spanish educational offer closer to foreign students, as well as to strengthen ties with local organizations from different countries in the field of education, generating synergies and strengthening global networks. To date, Spain receives more than 100,000 foreign students each year, 40% of whom are from Latin America.
IFEMA MADRID joined this alliance, after the successes achieved together with SEPIE in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, taking charge of the organization of the fair, with the support and experience of the Embassy after the celebration in 2016 of the Mobility Fair: Study and Discover Spain.

During the meeting, a wide range of Degrees and Postgraduate Studies, Doctorates, Masters, MBAs and Specializations were presented. The visiting public focused on university and pre-university students; graduates, undergraduates and diploma holders; doctors and post-doctoral students; heads of local centres of higher education; teachers and guidance counsellors; professionals in the field of employment and job searches; and heads of human resources in companies.
During the celebration of Estudiar en España in Mexico City, it was also possible to attend partnership rounds and meetings with local Universities. In addition, there was a great program of seminars and technical talks along with other cultural activities.

The Estudiar en España México fair closed this second edition with a positive balance and great success in attendance: more than 1,500 participants interested in the excellence and quality of Spanish education.
Both the presentations organized during the Collaboration and Research Conference, as well as the visits to the stands and the presentations of the universities and Higher Education institutions were a success, with great expectation among the citizens of Mexico City and those coming from other places.
Spain has become the main academic destination for Mexican students and teachers, with 10,000 study visas processed in 2017 and more than 40,000 in the last five years. In this context, the Estudiar en España México 2018 fair has become one of the most important events in education held in Mexico.
