The trade show, organized by Ifema, presents a fair model fully adapted to the demands of the optical sector and audiology, from 13 to 15 of April in IFEMA-Feria de Madrid
In its next edition the contest will show off more digital, modern environment, with new national and international brands, focused on fashion - including a new competition of Awards- and with contents also aimed at driving the projection of new companies
More than 120 direct exhibitors and more than 300 brands have already confirmed their participation in this edition
ExpoÓptica, International Optics, Optometry and Audiology Exhibition, the professional benchmark fair for the sector in the Iberian Peninsula and business point of contact for all its agents in Spain and Portugal, is preparing its thirty second edition, which will be held from 13 to 15 April in Feria de Madrid. The trade show, organized by IFEMA, presents excellent business prospects, an important increase in its number of participants, as well as innovative and attractive contents, proving itself to be the best space to find everything from the latest in fashion to the most recent advances and innovations in the world of optics, optometry and audiology.
At the same time, the trade show offers an interesting evolution of its fair concept thanks to new technologies, which will make this fair more digital, in which social media will be protagonists, with active networking that will drive conversation and will project the image and products of the participating companies.
More focused on fashion
ExpoÓptica2018 will also be a more modern, fashion-focused fair. At the moment optometry is a combination of visual health and personal image, and so ExpoÓptica includes the area Optical Fashion, aimed at the exhibition of frames and designer glasses, key for increasing sales in the sector. In this sense, this edition will for the first time celebrate the first Optics Gala, designed as an encounter in which recognition will be given to brands which stand out for their design and the presence of fashion in their products.
The Audiology sector will also be relevant in this edition, which will have its own area with special importance on the offerings of the fair, as well as the contents of the trade show aimed at driving the projection of new brands and participating companies.
A variety of offerings
The variety at ExpoÓptica includes everything from ophthalmic lenses, contact lenses, frames, sunglasses and optical instruments, to raw materials, optical equipment, furniture, machinery, cases, accessories, spare parts, maintenance products, computer science solutions for opticians, franchises, training… All in all, a complete panorama of this industry and the sectors of Optics, Optometry, Contactology, Ophtalmology, Vision Loss (Health), and Preparation for Points of Sale. Added to all of this at our 32nd edition is a wide range of products and services in the sector of Audiology, another of the key segments in the world of optics.
ExpoÓptica with the sector
With the renovation of contents and the new fair concept that ExpoÓptica presents in this edition, the trade show wants to demonstrate its high sectoral representation by reuniting in Spain all the innovations and trends necessary to update professionals in optics and audiology. “IFEMA wishes to showcase this fair in the national Iberian market, and to show it as its best point of contact to generate alliances and create businesses at a time when the Optics and Optometry sector are growing steadily”, said Lola González, EXPOOPTICA director.
This renovation of Expoóptica has been valued by the companies, who have shown their commitment to this edition, as the increase in contracting demonstrates. Today, more than two months before the celebration, the trade show surpasses 120 exhibitors and 300 brands. These are participation data which tend significantly to surpass the results of the preceding edition of 2016.
In addition, great companies that hadn't participated in this event for years will return to IFEMA. “With help from the sector we have defined an event that reinforces the projection of new features and advances in technology and expertise so that professionals can find during their visit the very best, the most recent, all in a dynamic space that is completed with scientific training and business management. In addition, we offer each present company different participation formats adapted to their objectives”, adds Lola González.
ExpoÓptica 2018 wins back great brands among its exhibitors
This edition of the trade show counts on the participation of great companies in the sector of Optics and Audiology once again. In Optics we can highlight, among others, Prats, Essilor, Indo, Optiwin, Zeiss, Topcon, Visual Global, Bausch & Lomb, Grupo Nos, Optiwell, Servilens, Centrostyle, Visionix, Panoptica, Conoptica, Eurolent, Jaytesa, Quiksilver, Mark' Ennovy, Tiwi, Recoletos, ABS; and in the sector of Audiology, Beltone, Interton, Bernafon, Otometrics, Widex, Audio Service, Inventis, Humangechnik, and Oticon, among others.
To the sizeable business participation at ExpoÓptica we add the renewed endorsement of the main associations and organizations of the sector, like the Spanish Federation of Associations of Optics, FEDAO; the Spanish Association of Manufacture, Commercialization and General Import of Optics and Ophtalmology, AEO; the General Council of Optical School Optometrists, CNOO, and Visión y Vida, a Campaign of Ocular Protection.
On the other hand, the fair will coincide with the International Congress of Optometry, Contactology and Ophthalmic Optics, OPTOM 2018, which is held in the North Convention Centre of IFEMA.
