The Training Area, the Training Forum and Students’ Day are among the content and activities featured at this year’s show, focused on boosting professional development and qualifications

The trade fair, organised by IFEMA MADRID and promoted by Fenin, will be held from Thursday 24 to Saturday 26 March in Halls 6, 8 and 10 at the Madrid exhibition centre

EXPODENTAL 2022 continues to provide strong support for professional development. Alongside the cutting-edge products and services offered by the 327 exhibiting companies from the dental industry, there will be a focus on content aimed specifically at boosting training for practising and future professionals.

This major event for the dental industry is organised by IFEMA MADRID and promoted by the Spanish Federation of Health Technology Companies, Fenin. It will take place from 24 to 26 March in Halls 6, 8 and 10 at the exhibition centre. Its Training Area provides a frame of reference for information, focused on meeting the needs of practising professionals who are interested in continuous training and skills updates, as well as various proposals for postgraduate studies and master’s degrees aimed at students in their final years of training.

This area is a space to explore the proposals offered by various institutions. The Faculty of Dentistry at the Complutense University in Madrid offers both official educational programmes (Degree in Dentistry, Master’s Degree and Doctorate in Dental Sciences) and continuous professional development (courses leading to private qualifications and continuous training). The Faculty of Dentistry at the UIC, meanwhile, focuses on training students in scientific knowledge, technical skills and in the treatment and rehabilitation of oral diseases within the framework of an integrated clinic. Finally, the UCAM, focused on specialist clinical training offers postgraduate courses in Dentistry, with a Chair in Training and R&D in Clinical Dentistry and a Chair of Adhesive Dentistry. Other participants include: the IPAO training institute, presenting its master's degrees and continuous training in dentistry with a degree provided through the Distance University of Madrid (UDIMA); the  Kapital Inteligente Institute of Private Professional Training, approved by the Regional Ministry of Education of Castilla La Mancha and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport; and the International School of Postgraduate Studies in Dentistry, a partner institute of the Isabel I University, offering master’s degrees and specialist courses in several branches of Dentistry; as well as various companies offering information on their training courses.

Training Forum

Alongside the informational content in the exhibition area, the Training Forum in the Speakers’ Corner in Hall 8 will offer a programme of presentations focused on learning and career-oriented content. In this context, and in the form of a preview, on Thursday 24 March, there will be a session organised by Formlabs GmbH on 3D Printing: the Present and Future of Dentistry, given by Dr Elisa Praderi.

On Friday 25 March, Ediciones Peldaño is organising a talk entitled Social Media and New Ways of Communicating with Dental Patients, which will be given by Dr Simón Pardiñas, while the company CEODONT will offer presentations on The Importance of Mock-ups in Dental Aesthetics and Teeth Whitening Developments and Techniques, and DVD DENTAL will discuss Electronic Anaesthesia: Efficient and Comfortable Anaesthesia.
