For the first time a scientific and multidisciplinary event on this subject matter receives the support of the main health and dental institutions.
The EXPODENTAL SCIENTIFIC CONGRESS, initially scheduled for April, is moving to the 24, 25 and 26 June 2021 (Thursday to Saturday) in order to be held in the second semester of the year, when better health, economic and professional mobility conditions are to be expected, that will provide participants with better guarantees for success. Thus, it was agreed between IFEMA, Brand Comunicación, joint organisers of the Congress, and the Spanish Federation of Health Technology Companies, Fenin, sponsor of the Congress, after a thoroughly considered decision that meets the desire to offer the best environment for re-establishing the long-awaited in-person relations.
The purpose of the EXPODENTAL SCIENTIFIC CONGRESS is to bring together dental health professionals within the framework of a scientific forum, with multidisciplinary training and updating on the latest technologies, services and research lines in this innovative industry. To this end and to guarantee the nature and interest of this event, the support garnered, for the first time, from the main health and dental institutions is especially important. Among these is the institutional backing by the Minister of Health, Mr. Salvador Illa; the Councillor for Health of the Community of Madrid, Mr. Enrique Ruiz-Escudero; the president of the Council of Dentists, Dr. Óscar Castro, as well as from the presidents of the main scientific organisations, such as SEPA, Spanish Society for Periodontics and Osseointegration; SEPES, Spanish Society for Stomatology and Aesthetic Prostheses; SEDO, Spanish Society of Orthodontics; AEDE, Spanish Endodontics Association; SEOP, Spanish Paediatric Dentistry Society; SECOM CyC, Spanish Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Head and Neck, and SECIB, Spanish Oral Surgery Society. The program will be coordinated by Prof. Dr. Jaime A. Gil Lozano and Dr. Nacho Rodríguez Ruiz, which guarantees top-notch content and internationally renowned speakers.
The Congress content will be complemented with an ample workshop program, organised by companies specialising in periodontics, cosmetic treatments, orthodontics, implant therapeutics, image, 3D printing, and a large free-access commercial area where all industry professionals can see all the latest industry progress.
EXPODENTAL SCIENTIFIC CONGRESS will also be the complement and connecting event with the huge bi-yearly international benchmark dentistry event, EXPODENTAL 2022.
IFEMA, a safe space
Fairs and congresses will be held in a fully safe environment, thanks to the protocols and steps that IFEMA has implemented in its facilities, in order to guarantee the safety, health and mobility of visitors, exhibitors and staff at the events held in its installations. Along these lines, the steps implemented by the institution led to AENOR certification for the measures against Covid-19.
This certification acknowledges the importance of the steps and protocols implemented in order to guarantee the safety and mobility of participants in the events, as well as the transmission of information to everyone, regarding access control measures and capacity, physical distancing, hygiene and cleaning; in addition to the redesigning of the events, combining in-person and hybrid formats, as essential measures for proper development of the trade fairs and congresses.
