Everything’s ready for EXPODENTAL 2020, the International Dental Equipment, Supplies and Services Show, which, in line with the good health of the dental sector, will be holding its biggest and most comprehensive edition. This leading professional event, organised by IFEMA in partnership with the Spanish Federation of Healthcare Technology Companies, FENIN, will take place at Feria de Madrid from 12th to 14th March 2020. It is beating records for participation and exhibition space, establishing itself on the international stage as one of the leading platforms for the dental industry.

This growing and innovative sector will once again put on a display of its solutions, equipment, services and new developments with a special focus on advances in technology and digital transformation to provide the professional visitor with the most comprehensive showcase for the state of the art in the sector.

EXPODENTAL in Figures

This year EXPODENTAL brings together 356 companies, a growth of 11.25% over the last edition. We’ll have over 23,420 m² of exhibition space —8.3% more than in 2018— spread over halls 2, 4, 6 and 8 of Feria de Madrid.

Another outstanding aspect is the international participation, which is already 32.3% of the total at EXPODENTAL, with 115 companies from 16 countries taking part (China, Republic of Korea; France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the United States).

This new growth means that EXPODENTAL looks to beat the attendance figures for the 2018 edition, which were 31,144 trade visitors from 73 countries.

   Italy, Guest Country

Italy is EXPODENTAL 2020’s partner country, to shine the spotlight on this market which is especially interesting for companies in the sector and to encourage attendance by Italian trade visitors, who will benefit from a special package to make their attendance easier.

UNIDI, the Italian Dental Industry Association, will be represented by 14 member companies showing a wide range of equipment and consumables for dentists and dental technicians manufactured in Italy, in Hall 8. For more than 50 years, UNIDI has actively contributed to the growth of the Italian dental industry. Today, it is one of the world’s leaders in terms of turnover, technological innovation and exports.

Italy’s attendance will be completed by 21 other Italian companies, participating independently.

Speakers’ Corner at EXPODENTAL

As in previous editions, and parallel with the trade presentation, EXPODENTAL has organised a Speakers’ Corner programme. It will host business presentations of new products and treatments, as well as detailed information about some of the most innovative technologies and solutions developed by manufacturers over the last two years. So far, we have already scheduled 36 talks, with 21 exhibitors taking part to discuss, among other issues, the importance of technology in clinical management, “Digital Dentistry: innovations and opportunities,” the future of dental clinic design, and digital strategies for improving care quality. The sessions at Speakers’ Corner will include participation by prestigious experts from Spain and abroad.

Training of Professionals and Students

EXPODENTAL will also devote special attention to professional training, both life-long learning and knowledge improvement, as well as academic aspects and guidance for students. Training Area will bring together universities, professional training centres, scientific societies, professional associations and companies, which will present their various offerings relating to the stages of a degree, postgraduate, masters, MBA, specialities... as well as ongoing training, business training and clinic management.

There will also be the Training Forum, to deal with new developments and address issues in detail and present specific training programmes by participating entities and companies.

Fourth- and fifth-year dental students, future dental hygienists and dental technicians can visit EXPODENTAL on STUDENTS’ DAY (Thursday, 12th March) to find out first-hand about the latest developments in the industry and attend the presentations that the Training Forum has programmed especially for them. To encourage attendance by different schools, EXPODENTAL is working in partnership with the National Federation of Dentistry Students (ANEO).
