With three weeks to go, expectations are very positive for the next edition of the International Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Exhibition, C&R 2021, organised by IFEMA MADRID from 16th to 19th November. C&R is the leading trade fair for the Air Conditioning, Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Industrial and Commercial Refrigeration, Heating and Plumbing sectors. It will significantly boost the sector’s business in a setting that ensures safety and allows it to get back to face-to-face business relations again.

With more than 300 companies and over 47,000 m2 of exhibition space, the leading event for the thermal installations sector is celebrating in style as it gets back together again after more than a year without meeting at face-to-face events. This will be a unique opportunity to see a comprehensive showcase of innovations, trends and advances by an industry moving towards an increasingly ecological and digital future.

Alongside the trade stands, C&R will have a programme of talks, FORO C&R, which will look at topical issues in indoor air quality and their importance in the wake of the pandemic. It will also cover the novelties of the Regulation of Thermal Installations in Buildings (RITE), decarbonising buildings, and training in the sector. FORO C&R will also have a two-session specialist track on Refrigeration and its challenges and prospects. This track will present and analyse two major architectural and engineering projects: Madrid’s Isabel Zendal emergency hospital and the Caleido tower.

This year’s edition will also include educational workshops aimed at installers, the Applied Air Conditioning Techniques Workshop and the Refrigeration Workshop, with new themes to promote installation best practices.

More Than A Hundred Events in 2021 at IFEMA MADRID

IFEMA MADRID relaunched the activity at its Exhibition Centre some months ago. Now it’s organising C&R with all the health safety measures covered by the three quality certifications of its anti-Covid protocols. These protocols have already been implemented with great success at its other major fairs. These include FITUR, an emblem of the world tourism industry held last May, with more than 5,000 companies from 55 countries and more than 50,000 attendees from 77 countries. In October another, more recent example has been Fruit Attraction, the international benchmark fair for the fruit and vegetable sector, which brought together 1,300 companies from 43 countries and 72,000 professional participants from 120 countries.

Throughout 2021 IFEMA MADRID will hold over one hundred events, including congresses, leisure activities and shows, concerts and musicals, fashion shows. For example, two editions of MERCEDES-BENZ FASHION WEEK MADRID and nearly forty public and trade fairs, such as  ARCOmadrid, Salón Gourmets, HIP, the USED AND NEARLY-NEW CAR FAIR, INTERGIFT, BISUTEX, MADRIDJOYA, and  Madrid Fusión, being some of the more widely known.

C&R '21 has the backing of the Madrid Regional Government under a collaboration agreement with IFEMA MADRID. This agreement aims to support companies undergoing digital transformation and internationalisation and achieve the goal shared by both institutions: to promote Madrid economically and internationally.
