Salvador Escoda, distributor of material for air-conditioning, ventilation, heating, water, renewable energies, gas, electricity, refrigeration and insulation installations, has presented its new range of Escosol modules for photovoltaic architectural integration.

Salvador Escoda is strengthening its commitment to renewable energies by expanding its range to include the new Escosol modules which, thanks to their technology and technical characteristics, can be integrated into the construction of buildings, as the company explains.

The main characteristics of the new Escosol modules are that they are flexible up to 30 degrees, ultra-light (a 400W module weighs 6 kilograms) and ultra-thin (they are 2.5mm thick), which allows them to be installed without the need for structural elements. They can be fixed directly to the surface where they are to be installed. They are the perfect solution for lightweight and/or curved roofs.

Double-sided modules

Another of the company's novelties are the Sonnenkraft glass-to-glass double-sided modules, which the Catalan distributor distributes exclusively in Spain. These modules from the Austrian manufacturer are ultra-thin (between 6 and 8 millimetres thick) and can be varied to be architecturally integrated into the landscape. One of the most sought-after applications is for installation in pergolas and lightweight outdoor structures, as they allow for a combination of design and sustainability.

These new ranges represent a great novelty in the market because they offer alternative solutions and versatility. And all these systems, called BIPV (Build Integrate Photovoltaics) are parts, products or systems for construction that also generate electricity from solar energy.
