Organised by IFEMA, the event will take place from 8 to 10 May at Feria de Madrid
From 8 to 10 May, the professional trade fair for audiovisual technology, BIT Audiovisual 2018, will be held in Pavilion 7 at Feria de Madrid, welcoming leading manufacturers, distributors and service providers involved in both traditional broadcast media (radio and television) as well as cinema and new means of content production and distribution.
Throughout the extensive exhibition area, professionals visiting the trade fair will be able to see first-hand the latest solutions from top-tier international manufacturers such as Canon, with its wide range of cameras and lenses, and Riedel Communications, with its comprehensive portfolio of intercom solutions and audio, video and communications networks.
As for Media Asset Management (MAM), Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM), Business Process Management (BPM) and media transcoding and distribution, benchmark Spanish R&D companies such as Tedial, VSN, Estructure Media Systems and Ebantic will share their cutting-edge solutions implemented by broadcasters across the world. And when it comes to encoding systems, the Spanish company Sapec is a standout participant.
The trade fair will once again feature the manufacturer AEQ, based at the Leganés Technology Park in Madrid, who export their automation and production systems (broadcast monitors, intercom, audio codecs, consoles, commentary systems and reporter units) all across the world.
In the area of radio, WorldCast systems will exhibit its latest developments in audio processing and encoding, transmission, signal monitoring and more.
At BIT Audiovisual 2018, visitors will also be able to find solutions for virtual studios, augmented reality and social networking integration in graphic design developed by Brainstorm, a company working under the label ‘Made in Spain’ which is making inroads across all five continents.
No less important are designers and manufacturers of connection and cable solutions, such as Lemo and Percon, whose developments are enabling transmission and management of signals with resolutions of 4K and above.
Also participating in the trade fair will be the leading distributors of solutions for television, film, video and new media in various areas such as media capture, studios, testing and measurement, audio and postproduction, including Abacanto, Xeltec Video, Crosspoint, KBN Next Media, Ambient Media, AVCast, Neovideo, SDI, Serman Pro, Star Comunicaciones and Video Digital.
Other distributors, meanwhile, such as Ceproma, Video Cine Import, Moncada, Casanova Foto, Catts Camera and Foto Técnica Import are focused on top-tier production equipment and digital cinematography.
Those looking for accessories of all different types and brands will find the most comprehensive range courtesy of DiseFoto, K&F Concept and Robisa. And as for lighting, important exhibitors include companies such as Cinetel Spain and Cromalite.
Besides equipment, BIT Audiovisual 2018 will offer professionals the opportunity to exchange thoughts and find out about the wide variety of project integration and consulting services offered by companies such as Aicox Soluciones, Eurocom Broadcast, Datos Technologies, Broadcast Solutions, ADDI Telecom, MoMe and Visiona. These companies carry out preliminary studies for projects, determine the technology required for each project and implement it, and also offer after-sales service and training.
Going beyond traditional broadcasting, another major presence is GES-IT, who provide streaming services, consulting and live broadcast via mobile networks.
Other leading service providers include Visual Media, whose technical experts and equipment support all types of production from shooting to post-production. And for equipment rental, look no further than companies such as Falco Films and FTFCam.
In the field of telecommunications services, BIT Audiovisual 2018 will welcome Cellnex Telecom, the leading operator in network infrastructure, as well as Interxion, the specialist provider of colocation services in independent data centres across Europe, and the telecommunications company Red Telecom.
The event also will be a must for those seeking the best music and effects for their projects, thanks to the proposals on offer at the stand hosted by Music Library and SFX, a company that has recently launched a new web platform providing a one-stop shop for all the music and sound effects in its numerous catalogues.
Finally, it will be interesting to see the possibilities opened up by solutions such as those proposed by Social Tv Hub - with a web tool for television makers enabling content capture from social networks and its on-screen display - and Watchity - the flexible live video production platform that enables live, high-quality broadcast using smartphones over public WiFi or 4G networks.
