EXPOELEARNING is back as part of EDUCATION WEEK 2023

Kenes Group is now the new joint organiser of EXPOELEARNING, having acquired the event in August

The International Congress and Trade Fair EXPOELEARNING (23 and 24 March 2023) will be back at IFEMA MADRID as part of EDUCATION WEEK, at the Recinto Ferial from 22 to 26 March 2023. The 21st edition of EXPOELEARNING is one of several exhibitions that make up EDUCATION WEEK - the 31st International Education Opportunities Exhibition, (AULA); the 27th International Educational Equipment and Teaching Resources Show and 5th Congress of Educational Resources, INTERDIDAC Espacio R.E.D.; the 14th International POSTGRADUATE AND CONTINUING EDUCATION Exhibition; The XXI International Congress and Professional Fair EXPOELEARNING, and the fourth edition of SCHOOLS DAY “Family and Schools Day”. They are joined by MADRID IS SCIENCE, organised by the Community of Madrid and the Fundación para el Conocimiento Madri+d. The addition of EXPOELEARNING, recently acquired by Kenes Group, confirms EDUCATION WEEK as Spain’s leading event for the education sector.

Kenes Group, one of the world’s main event organisers, headquartered in Geneva and with offices in Spain, acquired the International Congress and Trade Fair EXPOELEARNING from AEFOL in August. It has been held 30 times since 2002: with 20 in Spain, the seven most recent in collaboration with IFEMA MADRID, a further seven in Ibero-America and three virtual meetings.

The International Congress and Trade Fair EXPOELEARNING is the main e-learning event in the Ibero-American market, in which 150,000 professionals from 45 countries have taken part during its history, and more than 1,500 speakers have shared their expertise at the International Congress that marks trends in the most avant-garde subjects in online education. The 20th edition happened in March in the framework of EDUCATION WEEK 2022 and dealt with: “The metaverse applied to e-learning”.

EXPOELEARNING will host EXPORRHH, the commercial area aimed at the Human Resources 4.0. world. Educaparty, an activity that centres on the growing edtech sector, and Moodleparty, an event on the well-known free software platform, the world’s most popular.

Smara Iglesia, manager of Kenes International Spain, said that “we decided to purchase EXPOELEARNING, to give the event a boost at the international level”; while according to Isabel Fuentes, the manager of EXPOELEARNING, “this operation has fully consolidated EXPOELEARNING, an enormous leap in the internationalisation of the Exhibition, just as online training reaches full maturity”. In the meantime, the director of EDUCATION WEEK, Lola González, underlined EXPOELEARNING’s key role within the event, offering a broader view of online education.

EXPOELEARNING is the main Spanish-speaking e-learning event in the world. Founded in 2001 by AEFOL  chaired by José Lozano Galera, it was held for the first time in Madrid in 2002, and has since then been managed jointly by Isabel Fuentes Ardila in the commercial area and Cristina García responsible for the Congress programme for 30 editions: 20 in Spain (Madrid and Barcelona), seven in Ibero-America (Peru, four in Colombia, Mexico and Chile), and three virtual editions.

The event has received 150,000 visitors from 45 countries, more than 9,300 congress attendees, 1,250 exhibitors, 1,500 speakers and a total of 20 different activities. Thirteen of these international trade fair and congresses have been held in Madrid, the last seven as part of EDUCATION WEEK.
