e-Salud

  • The e-Health Activities Programme will be presented throughout the three-day duration of SIMO Network and will focus on three main themes: The 2.0 Patient; Health Care Everywhere and Knowledge Networks.

    A number of leading experts from the most representatives bodies and institutions from the sector will debate the following questions, among many others: the impact of technology and efficiency on the health model; the patient as the focal-point for the health system; ongoing health care; monitoring and care for the chronically ill; and knowledge networks.

  • e-HEALTH INNOVATION PRIZE
  • SIMO Network 2011 Announces the Staging of the e-Health Innovation Prize. The aim is to promote awareness of the main lines of development under the heading of e-Health in Spain, as well as to recognise the work of professionals and bodies that encourage the development and introduction of ICT solutions within the health sector.
    The 9 nominated projects are:

    • "IBOX Health at Home", presented by AT4 Wireless
    • "Rioja eSalud" presented by the Department for Health and Social Services of La Rioja
    • "Application for Natural Interfaces   and Virtual Reality Techniques for the Motor and Cognitive Rehabilitation of Patients Suffering from Ailments of a Neurological Origin and Acquired Brain Damage", presented by FIVAN and NISA
    • "Shared Tele-Medicine Integrated Platform", presented by the Iavante Foundation
    • "Previrnec: Cognitive Tele-Rehabilitation Platform", presented by the Guttmann Private Neuro-Rehabilitation Foundation Institute
    • "ICT As Back-Up for Health Assistance Activities", presented by  the District Hospital of Inca
    • "Integral Electronic Records in 14 Months", presented by the Denia Marina Hospital
    • "Health Social Network of the Madrid Region", presented by the Hospital Gregorio Maranon/ Department of SERMAS Systems
    • "Health Tele-Services", presented by the Madrid Health Service

    These projects have been selected and initially evaluated by a Selection Committee made up of five professionals from the media specialising in the fields of health and ICT: Javier Olave, Editor-in-Chief of Diario Médico; Javier López Tazón, Head of the ARIADNA Technology Supplement in EL MUNDO; Tomás Delclós, Head of the CIBERPAIS Technology Supplement in EL PAIS; Ambrosio Rodriguez, Editor-in-Chief of Computing España; and María José Marzal, Editor-in-Chief of Computerworld

    The nominated projects shall be submitted to an open online vote between 1st and 23rd September. The project that receives the largest number of votes shall be the winner.
