Madrid, 4th November 2010.- The thirteenth edition of SALÓN LOOK INTERNACIONAL, an event organised by IFEMA that took place between 15th and 17th October at Feria de Madrid, achieved some highly positive results, both in terms of its participation and visitor figures and with regard to the trade objectives pursued by the companies taking part at the fair. This edition welcomed a total of 78,584 trade visitors, of whom 1,350 travelled to the fair from abroad. The United States, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina and Brazil were the main countries of origin of these foreign professionals, thus confirming the fair's role as one of the favourite events for the industry within the Spanish-speaking world.
This edition of SALON LOOK INTERNACIONAL featured the participation of some 383 companies, 30 more than at the last edition. These companies brought together some 1,000 Spanish and foreign brands within an exhibition area measuring 13,000 square metres, a 6% increase compared to the year 2009. The fair featured the participation of 51 foreign companies, with the largest numbers attending the fair from Italy (26 exhibitors), Portugal (6 exhibitors) and France (5 exhibitors). Poland made its debut at the fair with 3 participating companies.
The growing international importance of SALÓN LOOK INTERNACIONAL complements the fair's indisputable role as a key marketing tool for the industry. The professionals at the fair once again revealed considerable interest in the wide-ranging and innovative products and services brought together at the fair, as well as the numerous demonstrations presented at the stands, not to mention the different activities that were organised to coincide with the fair itself.
For their part, the participating companies revealed high levels of satisfaction regarding the results achieved at this edition, both in terms of the highly professional nature of the visitors and with regard to the quality of the contacts they were able to establish throughout the fair's three-day duration. The participating companies also managed to fulfil their commercial objectives. In fact, a high percentage of participants declared that they would be interested in taking part at the year 2011 edition.
The fair's exhibition extended throughout Halls 2, 3 and 4 at Feria de Madrid. With regard to hairdressing, Hall 2 hosted the staging of the Hair Look Fashion Show, whilst Hall 4 featured the hairdressing brands, including both products and furnishings and sales. As far as beauty care was concerned, Hall 3 featured all the latest advances in this field, as well as products and services relating to aesthetic medicine, wellness, spas, nails, make-up and natural cosmetics. As a new feature at this edition, the connecting area between Halls 3 and 5 offered a new space devoted exclusively to presenting the application of beauty treatments. This area, known as Beauty Cabins, was based on the presence of four exhibiting companies, Germaine de Capuccini, Ainhoa, Anubis and DRV, who introduced professionals to the application protocols corresponding to their different products.
SALON LOOK INTERNACIONAL featured the participation of a series of leading companies within the beauty care sector. Among the cosmetics companies that took part at the fair, we might highlight the following, among others:Anubis, Mesoestethic, La Bioestetique,; Montibello, Germaine de Capuccini, Ella Baché, Alissi Bronte and M2 Lashes.
