OFITEC, International Trade Exhibition of Office Contract Furniture and Equipment, is the leading trade fair for the industry in Spain.

Organised by IFEMA, and held every two years at the Feria de Madrid venue, the event provides the opportunity for the leading companies and manufacturers in the industry to exhibit their range of products and trends in equipment for offices, community institutions and other workplaces.

The fair offers a tour of the latest in office furniture and equipment and showcases the latest trends in high-end executive and office furniture; furniture for community institutions; occasional furniture; lighting; accessories and fittings; chairs and armchairs; floors and technical ceilings; partitions and modular partitions and signage.

OFITEC provides an offering of particular interest to a wide range of professionals: architects, quantity surveyors, interior designers, decorators, distributors, purchasing managers and heads of Human Resources.

Running in tandem with the trade exhibition, a series of conferences and seminars are normally held at which various experts shed light on the most current and important issues affecting the industry at that point in time. As part of these activities, which contribute significant added value to the event, the latest innovation featured in the 2011 edition of the fair, was the First OFITEC CONTEST, aimed at recognising the most original work-environment projects, presented by participating firms.

OFITEC, which is also supported by the trade association, FAMO (the Association of Spanish Manufacturers of Office and Contract Furniture and Equipment) is the business event “par excellence" and is one of the best commercial opportunities for an industry with enormous export potential that is striving to open up new markets.
