"GENERA TO HOLD ITS 13TH EDITION"

The 13th edition of GENERA, the Energy and Environment International Trade Fair, will take place from 19 to 21 May 2010. The venue for the coming event, which is organised by IFEMA and sponsored by IDAE (Spanish Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving). The trade fair is a meeting point for the industry’s most competitive alternative energy source production and energy efficiency companies..

GENERA, which continues to broaden the perspectives of its renewable energy and energy efficiency strategy, has created an area dedicated to geothermal energy and is inviting energy service companies to attend.

.Because of its great potential for development, in 2010, there will be a spotlight on the geothermal sector, with a specific area dedicated to this segment that was first included in the last edition of the event. This area will feature new ideas from systems, equipment, and machinery and technology companies for harnessing this alternative energy resource. ICOG, the Spanish Official Association of Professional Geologists will be there, organizing a technical workshop entitled "Present and Future of Geothermal Energy in Spain”, to analyse opportunities for geothermal systems, prospects for development, and the savings that can be achieved by using them. +info»

As well as the advances made in the various “clean” energy production systems and general improvements in energy consumption, trade professionals will also be able to see the benefits offered by energy services companies, which will also be represented at GENERA 2010. These are companies design energy-saving measures adapted to their customers’ specific requirements. +info»

A diverse and sustainable energy proposal

.The geothermal area complements the already significant representation of other sectors, particularly solar energy (both thermal and photovoltaic), which accounted for 70% of all exhibitors at the last addition of the Fair. The biomass and cogeneration markets also have seen significant growth, while segments such as hydrogen and the presence of other sources such as wind, hydraulic, fuel cell and marine and fossil fuels have also progressed.

The large number of exhibitors at the Fair and the creation of a meeting place where trade professionals can share their experiences have made GENERA an indispensable event for the alternative energy source production and energy saving industry. This fact is backed by the good results obtained from the 2009 edition, which saw a 60.5% growth in direct participation at the Trade Fair. A total of 415 companies attended, 33% of which came from abroad, representing 21 nationalities, giving further proof of the international nature of the exhibition. +info»

INNOVATION GALLERY  &  FORO GENERA

The new features complement all the usual attractions found at GENERA, including the INNOVATION GALLERY, which acknowledges products that have made the greatest advances in their sectors. Not to forget FORO GENERA where exhibitors have the opportunity to present their latest developments to other trade professionals, where the main players in the renewable energy and energy efficiency industries use their presence at the fair to achieve significant media impact.

The TECHNICAL WORKSHOPS will once again feature the most prestigious experts in the sector, covering all the topics related to renewable energy development and the evolution of the tools necessary to introduce them, and aspects of the plans put in place to encourage their adoption and rational energy use.
