CLIMATIZACIÓN'09 CLOSES ITS THIRTEENTH EDITION WITH ITS LEADERSHIP CONSOLIDATED
The thirteenth edition of CLIMATIZACIÓN´09, the International Air-conditioning, Heating, Ventilation and Refrigeration Exhibition, which took place between 24 and 27 February at the Feria de Madrid, ended with a positive balance sheet, both in terms of company participation and attendance by professionals. A total of 1501 companies, of which681 were direct exhibitors, participated in the exhibition and the attendance of 46,899 visitors was recorded, confirming this as an essential event for all sector agents. This is a very significant figure, in particular when you look at the excellent professional profile of the attendees. In this respect, the high level of technically qualified visitors was significant, in particular engineers, who counted for 14.4%, and architects, for 9.6%, as well as the high decision-making capacity among the visitors, since more than one third – 34.3%- were managers. Among these, 18.8% were highest level executives (owners, presidents, chief executives and managing directors) and 15.5% were departmental managers. The international presence at this edition is also to be noted; a total of 4298 trade visitors from 70 countries was recorded. Portugal, Italy, France and Germany had the highest representation, while the Magreb zone (Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia) occupied fifth place, showing significant growth, with 154 registered visitors. In terms of the geographical scope of CLIMATIZACION, the high level of national coverage within Spanish territory is to be noted, since more than half of the Spanish visitors, 59.1%, were from outside Madrid.In this respect, the trade fair, recorded visits from professionals from all the Autonomous Communities and provinces, with a higher number of visitors from the Madrid, Catalonia, Andalusia, Castile and Leon and Valencia Autonomous Communities. Innovation and sustainability This edition of CLIMATIZACIÓN showed its greatest level of commitment to the environment yet and firmly supported innovative equipment and systems for energy efficiency and the use of alternative energy. This was the main theme of the general offering on display and of the FOROCLIMA, technical workshops and the INNOVATION GALLERY, an exclusive space for the most avant-garde proposals from the exhibiting companies. The FOROCLIMA conference programme included two plenary sessions, a training seminar and more than 30 free speeches, the content of which was well-received and very satisfactory attendance levels were recorded.
CLIMATIZACIÓN´09,
which was inaugurated by Antonio Beteta, Minister for the Economy
and Finance for the Autonomous Community of Madrid, has once again
shown that it is a leading event for the sector both nationally and
internationally. Indeed the exhibition provided a stage for many
meetings and contacts and allowed the exhibitors to work and
increase their business prospects for the upcoming
months
