ARCOmadrid 2012

The ARCO Foundation Platform intends to continue incentivising collecting, one of the main goals of this body's work for the last 25 years. To continue the activities which began in ARCOmadrid 2012 over the rest of the year, the Platform will launch different actions and activities to dynamise and boost the market.

In April it offers: One collector / One work, an initiative of about ten sessions in which collectors who are members of the ARCO Foundation Platform, opening their homes to other members. A critic proposed by the Foundation will analyse one of the works in each collection.

Meanwhile, following on from the collecting symposia held last year in the Lázaro Galdiano Foundation of Madrid, on 28 and 29 May the museum will host presentations by women collectors under the title “Miradas de Mujeres” (Women's Viewpoints) and symposia on patronage and the legal aspects of collecting.
