 - Best Experience with Active Methodologies
Creation of the PBL pilot team at Politècnics, changing the classroom context
Antonio Domingo Alonso and Francisco Arrébola Concejero – Centre d’Estudis Politècnics (Mataró, Barcelona)
During the 2017-2018 school year, the centre created a PBL pilot team to empower students, beginning a CrowdHelping platform and a virtual escape room, among other activities. The more experienced teachers helped the others, contributing to ongoing training among equals. The students learned the syllabus and improved their professional and personal skills.

- Best Collaborative and Cooperative Project
Welcome to Earth
Dani Zacarés Escrivá, Nacho Peris Canet and Jorge Moragués Escrivá - Colegio Esclavas SCJ Benirredrá (Valencia)
For five days the students of 1st year of Secondary Studies worked on this cross-discipline project that comprised all of the subjects, the purpose of which was to promote various skills and cooperation. The teachers proposed creating a travel agency for extra-terrestrials, and to invite them to visit Earth. More than 15 workshops were held, where new technologies were used extensively throughout the project, thus increasing student motivation and involvement.

- Best Innovative Experience
Spiderman knows trigonometry
Isabel García Esteban and Alberto González Montaña - Colegio San Vicente de Paúl (Benavente, Zamora)
This PBL project (Project-Based Learning) for 4th year of Secondary Studies consists of a series of challenges through Spiderman movie action scenes. To do this they developed and applied mathematics concepts of trigonometry, similarity and geometry, such as calculating distances that villains were at, spider web length, angles, etc. Spiderman’s super-powers are the syllabus content that they worked with.

We are Motivated to Learn by Innovating
Javier García de Bustos -  CEIP Ntra. Sra. De La Piedad (Herrera De Pisuerga, Castilla y León)
Implementation of innovative STEAM classes for 6th year of Primary School, based on the development of two Educational Innovation Projects promoted by the ICT Resources and Teacher Training Centre of Castilla y León: “INGENIA” Robotics Educational Innovation project that developed activities for creation, construction, problem resolution, computational thinking, programming, etc.; and the “CREA” educational innovation project: a 3D printing initiative that allowed the development of innovative STEAM competences, based on design thinking and computational thinking proposals.

- Best Gamification Experience
Operation Beijerinck
Carolina Álvarez- Colegio Valle de Miro (Pinto, Madrid)
This is a project that combines gamification and thought-based learning (TBL), that covers different subjects such as Mathematics, Spanish, Social Science, Natural Science, Art and alternative. At the beginning of the school year a secret society contacted the students of 6th year of Primary School, telling them that they had been chosen to be part of the society and to help them resolve a mysterious case: a scientist's body had been found in one of the school’s labs.

- Best Emotional Education Experience
It’s not magic, its emotional education
Reyes Mantilla - CEPA REINOSA (Reinosa, Cantabria)
Teaching knowledge was not enough for this adult centre in Cantabria, therefore they proposed working with emotional intelligence (EI) through an innovative and pilot project for Adult Education Centres (CEPA).  It was backed by the Fundación Botín, under its “Responsible education” initiative. For three years the Reinosa CEPA has developed the emotional aspect of their students, ranging from 18 to 80 years-old, and has even given a workshop with quite satisfactory results.

3D solidary hugs
Marcos García García, Xavier Lecha Rosquilla, Oriol Lopera Ortega, David Bernardo Sabanés and Cristina Sellarès Feiner - Daina-Isard Cooperativa d’Ensenyament SCCL (Olesa de Montserrat, Barcelona)
3rd year Secondary Studies STEM students (Biology-Geology, Physics-Chemistry and Technology) organised a solidarity workshop on 3D printing for the 2nd year Primary School students of their centre. By building a robotic arm (with cardboard, rubber bands, cotton thread...) students learned about and assimilated actual projects to print prosthetics with 3D technology for people with disabilities. At the end of the school day the Primary students told their families of the social responsibility values that they had learned about.

Produced by eight educational centres of Tenerife and the CEP Tenerife Sur, its purpose was to develop technological solutions to improve daily life for people with disabilities. The association Coordicanarias, an NGO with 35 years’ experience serving people with disabilities also collaborated on the project. The first step was to hold a meeting between the students and people with disabilities, to then develop several prototypes. The methodologies used were PBL and cooperative learning.

- Best Self-Created Digital Resource
Star Wars: the first Jedi
Isaac José Pérez - Sports Science Faculty of the University of Granada (Granada)
The aim of this experience, which was created as an educational prequel to the mythical “Star Wars” series, was to train future teachers and to encourage them to innovate. This gamification experience was complemented with a mobile app to manage the subject. The first thing the students had to do within the narrative of the project, was to prove that they could feel the Force. The Jedi Council then installed a timer on their mobile phones, which determined how much they used it to learn and improve their Jedi training, under the watchful eye of Master Guidoogway.
