It exports its trade fair know-how, with its leading brands MATELEC, GENERA and SICUR, and it promotes participation in Spanish companies

It participates in the project FIF CHILE where it will promote the presence of franchise brands from Spain

IFEMA will continue to strengthen its international dimension, exporting its trade fair know-how to emerging markets, of special interest for Spanish companies that are looking to expand to foreign markets. It equally turns into the mechanism for promoting foreign participation in those markets, turning it into a perfect alliance for any trade fair operator that is looking to transcend its geographical space.

In this sense, Chile is a particularly attractive market, above all due to the big opportunities that it offers different sectors. The collaboration with FISA, the main trade fair operator in Chile, is decisive in ensuring that next Autumn the installations of the Riesco Space of Santiago de Chile obtains the counterpart events for Ibero-Americans from three leading brands of IFEMA in their respective sectors: MATELEC, GENERA and SICUR.

In this way, the trade fair calendar will commence between 30 September and 2 October 2015, with the third consecutive edition of SICUR Latin America, International Exhibition for System Products, Technology and Services for Comprehensive Security, which will cover the world of security from a comprehensive perspective, and which is organised by IFEMA in conjunction with FISA.

Subsequently, between 7-9 October, and in the same Riesco Space in Santiago de Chile, MATELEC Latin America will be held in conjunction with the first International Event for Solutions for the Electric and Electronic Industry, and the second International Event for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, GENERA Latin America.

Up until now, IFEMA has confirmed the participation of more than half a thousand Spanish companies, as well as countries like Germany, Belgium, China, France, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Portugal and the United Kingdom, in all three events.

For MATELEC and GENERA and for the companies that attend their counterpart events in Santiago de Chile, the Chilean market is particularly attractive. In fact, the electrical demand in that country has considerably increased and it is expected that it will double over the next fifteen years. Furthermore, in addition to the economic growth in Chile, the strength of the major consumers in the sectors of construction and mining can be added; as well as the important increase in the import of electric material that has been recorded in the last five years. On the other hand, the export capacity that Chile is establishing and its magnificent commercial relationships with the other countries in its sector turn it into a suitable platform for getting involved in this sector.

The efforts of IFEMA to get involved in this interesting market do not end with MATELEC Latin America, GENERA Latin America and SICUR Latin America. For the first time, the Trade Fair Institution of Madrid will promote the participation of Spanish franchise, in the upcoming second edition of FIF CHILE, the benchmark franchise trade fair in the country, which is organised by the Chamber of Commerce of Santiago de Chile, between 17-18 August 2015, in the Hotel W of the capital city.

The favourable economic climate that is currently being experienced in Chile is precisely what is encouraging investors, interested in this business model, meaning that the Chilean franchise market will most likely experience a big development over the coming years.

In this sense, IFEMA, organiser of one of the largest trade fairs in this sector, EXPOFRANQUICIA, International Event for Franchising, which has just held its 21st edition, can contribute its experience to see that Spanish brands have a greater presence in Ibero-America.

IFEMA is strengthening its international dimension, focused above all on Ibero-America, where in addition to the aforementioned development of trade fairs, it is implementing diverse actions in countries like Panama, Peru or Argentina; as well as in Asia, where it is also present with different actions in China or Korea, among other countries. It does not neglect Europe either, where it is currently working in Poland.
