Netherlands will be the guest country in ARCOmadrid 2013. With the active collaboration of the Mondriaan Foundation and the Embassy of the Netherlands in Spain, ARCOmadrid 2013 will present a selection of Dutch galleries curated by Xander Karskens (Breda, 1973), while also attracting all the country’s major collectors, curators and critics.
ARCOmadrid organises an exclusive International Collectors Programme, inviting guest collectors to visit ARCOmadrid 2013 and discover the excellent cross-section of art on view at the fair. With this programme, ARCOmadrid guarantees the presence of a large group of collectors and active buyers, nominated by participating galleries, who will visit the fair and, above all, ensure a volume of business.
This forum is the meeting place par excellence for the international art community, where renowned players can exchange ideas and projects while, at once, interacting with exhibiting galleries. It is a unique platform for analysis and debate on art production, creation, appreciation and presentation.
ARCOmadrid 2013 has put in place a special international buyers programme to encourage the acquisition of artworks.
The well-designed ARCOmadrid 2013 catalogue contains information on all the galleries taking part. Similarly to last year, the fair can also be visited online (www.arco.ifema.es) prior to its opening, as well as through the app for Iphone, Ipod and Android.
