The International Franchising Trade Fair involved over 500 brand names from 9 countries and visitors of 45 different nationalities, and attendance figures were up for industry professionals from Germany, Belgium, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, the United States, France, Mexico, Switzerland and Uruguay

The 25th EXPOFRANQUICIA International Franchising Trade Fair closed its doors on an event with a markedly international outlook. A total of 15,085 visitors came to explore the opportunities offered by over 500 actively expanding brand names in more than 20 sectors. The trade fair, held from 4 to 6 April at Feria de Madrid, was also attended by Reyes Maroto, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism, who underlined the importance of franchising at the opening ceremony as ‘a marketing system fundamental for the economy and for wealth generation’.
This project, developed by IFEMA for the international expansion of the franchise, offers two new scenarios to companies with an interest in exporting their business concept: International Franchise Show (IFS) of Seoul 2018 and The Global Franchise Market (TGFM) of Dubai
FRANCHISING BEYOND BORDERS, the project developed by IFEMA to promote the international expansion of Spanish franchises, expands its field of action in the Asian and Middle East markets, with the incorporation of two new scenarios to its already extensive selection of international franchise fairs.
31.7% of attendees at the trade fair came with the intention of acquiring a franchise within a maximum timeframe of one year, while 5.9% sought a master franchise agreement at the fair

After an influx of 15,248 visitors during 19 to 21 April, EXPOFRANQUICIA 2018, the International Franchising Trade Fair, closed its doors on an event that gathered together proposals from 500 actively expanding brands in Hall 4 of Feria de Madrid. This year has stood out for its quality of visitors, in terms of both their high purchase intent and investor profile, and for its continued dynamism and capacity to attract visitors, with attendees from all of Spain’s autonomous regions, as well as from 40 different countries.
Approximately 17% of all the franchise businesses present at the fair entail an investment of around €30,000; 25.5% of €30,000 to €60,000; 29% of €60,000 to €120,000; 16% of €120,000 to €180,000; 9.5% of €180,000 to €300,000, and just over 2% entail an investment of over €300,000.
EXPOFRANQUICIA will be held from the 19th to the 21st of April at Feria de Madrid.
From the 19th to the 21st of April, EXPOFRANQUICIA 2018, held at Feria de Madrid, will showcase the business proposals and opportunities offered by franchises, with a clear focus on investors, professionals and anyone interested in this type of commercial activity. This trade-show organised by IFEMA, and supported by AEF, the Spanish Franchisors Association, is the leading event of its kind in our country and is key when it comes to getting to know and contacting companies currently undergoing an active expansion.
