From the 19th to the 21st of April, EXPOFRANQUICIA 2018, held at Feria de Madrid, will showcase the business proposals and opportunities offered by franchises, with a clear focus on investors, professionals and anyone interested in this type of commercial activity. This trade-show organised by IFEMA, and supported by AEF, the Spanish Franchisors Association, is the leading event of its kind in our country and is key when it comes to getting to know and contacting companies currently undergoing an active expansion.
Apart from the huge variety of businesses presented, with over 500 franchise opportunities featuring very well-established brands, innovative ideas, multinational concepts etc., the fair also presents opportunities for a huge variety of investment budgets. This means that visitors will have access to a wide array of businesses which suit their particular needs. From some very economical concepts, recommended for a self-employed professional, to more ambitious options aimed at investors looking to make a profit out of their capital through business management.

The trade-show's list of exhibitors does not only present a wide variety of Spanish franchises however. Companies from The United Arab Emirates, France, Italy, Lithuania, Morocco, United Kingdom and Portugal will also be present at the fair, highlighting the level of representation reached, and making it the greatest franchise trade-show in our country.

This comprehensive exhibition is proof of the excellent state of the franchise system in our country, as shown in the recent report published by AEF which states that there were 1,348 franchise networks in Spain on closing of 2017. The above figure represents an increase of 3.8%; the total amount billed by all franchises in Spain was 7,592 billion Euros, a 2.2% increase when compared to the previous year, and the number of franchise establishments open at the end of 2017 was 74,398 - 5.4% more than the year before. As for the employment generated by franchises, on closing of 2017, there were a total of 278,951 people employed within the franchise system, 3.7% more than in 2016.
