The 28th annual Congress of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) will be held from 9 to 13 October 2019 in Madrid, at the IFEMA. The prestigious event will focus on Skin Imaging. More than 12,000 participants, 750 speakers and 150 exhibitors are expected from 100 countries worldwide.
The major European Congress of dermatology. After a record-breaking 27th EADV congress in Paris with almost 13,000 participants, the 28th annual EADV Congress will be organized in Madrid, October 2019. During this unique event, dermatologists will have the opportunity to network with other professionals from over the world and attend 150 sessions about the most up-to-date research and developments in Dermatology and Venereology. With over 150 exhibitors, the exhibition area will be a key area to discuss the latest research results with the industry and stay always updated with medical progress.
The EADV Congress is the largest European annual event in Dermatology and Venereology. This is a key Congress for all health care professionals active in the field and wishing to advance their medical education with the best speakers.
Scientific programme. Spain is a country renowned for its excellence in surgery and diagnostic tools such as confocal microscopy and dermoscopy. The EADV wants to share the Spanish excellence through the 2019 “hot topic” of Skin Imaging, covering areas such as confocal microscopy, sonography in dermatology, optical coherence tomography and computer vision (machine and deep learning). The e-poster area will also allow accessing the approved abstracts, a unique opportunity to review unpublished research.
IFEMA continues to position itself as an international benchmark in the MICE and associative market thanks to prestigious congresses it hosts, such as ECCMID (European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases) that held its 28th edition from April 21st to 24th of 2018 and was a great meeting of experts to treat infectious diseases and clinical microbiology.
The Spanish Transplant Society (SET) celebrates the 5th edition of its national meeting in a congress organised by IFEMA on 30th June and 1st July 2018; an event that will bring together all the health professionals related to transplants.

In addition to these three major congresses during the week, training workshops (workshops), courses and seminars are held for participants from both the industry and the scientific-technological sector. A fourth event is also held, the Defense, Security and Space Forum (Defense, Security and Space Forum). An important Industrial Exhibition is also organized, the second largest and most complete in the world, first at European level, in the sector of radiofrequency (RF), microwave and millimeter wave technologies, in which companies from all over the world participate. This Exhibition constitutes an essential part of the European Microwave Week.
The 27th International Congress of The Transplantation Society (TTS) will be held in Madrid from June 30th to July 5th 2018 at IFEMA. It is the second time that this prestigious congress visits Spain, after the 1996 edition in Barcelona. The conference will bring together high-level professionals to discuss the development of transplant programs, donation and organ procurement. Considered a subject of high medical as well as social relevance, and in which Spain is especially strong (it has been for 26 years the world leader in donations and transplants with 46.9 donors per million inhabitants)
A collaboration agreement was signed today between IFEMA and the World Olive Oil Exhibition for the celebration of its next edition, to be held at Feria de Madrid on 21 and 22 March
