The 28th annual Congress of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) will be held from 9 to 13 October 2019 in Madrid, at the IFEMA. The prestigious event will focus on Skin Imaging. More than 12,000 participants, 750 speakers and 150 exhibitors are expected from 100 countries worldwide.
The major European Congress of dermatology. After a record-breaking 27th EADV congress in Paris with almost 13,000 participants, the 28th annual EADV Congress will be organized in Madrid, October 2019. During this unique event, dermatologists will have the opportunity to network with other professionals from over the world and attend 150 sessions about the most up-to-date research and developments in Dermatology and Venereology. With over 150 exhibitors, the exhibition area will be a key area to discuss the latest research results with the industry and stay always updated with medical progress.
The EADV Congress is the largest European annual event in Dermatology and Venereology. This is a key Congress for all health care professionals active in the field and wishing to advance their medical education with the best speakers.
Scientific programme. Spain is a country renowned for its excellence in surgery and diagnostic tools such as confocal microscopy and dermoscopy. The EADV wants to share the Spanish excellence through the 2019 “hot topic” of Skin Imaging, covering areas such as confocal microscopy, sonography in dermatology, optical coherence tomography and computer vision (machine and deep learning). The e-poster area will also allow accessing the approved abstracts, a unique opportunity to review unpublished research.
In addition to the scientific education, the EADV dedicates space to the Patient Society Village to advance care by providing an exchange and discovery platform to discuss with patient organizations patient advocacy resources and services offered to the professional dermatological and venereological community.
The Aesthetic Sunday will be the occasion to meet renowned specialists to satisfy requests for excellence and training in aesthetic and cosmetic dermatology. Innovations in Madrid. The EADV Madrid Congress 2019 will introduce two new sessions to the rich programme: t
he Controversy Sessions and the Nurse Faculty. The Controversy Sessions will take place in the Expert Forum tracks where speakers will be invited to develop and discuss different opinions. They will cover a range of topics from topical corticosteroids, to biologics in skin disease, drugs in acne, inflammatory diseases, as well as long term antibiotics and anti-TNFs in the treatment of hidradenitis suppurativa. This new session aims to spark stimulating debates. The second major innovation will be the Nurse Faculty. Lectures and workshops dedicated to nurses and organized by a dedicated faculty will run during a full day, in parallel with the other sessions.
