IFEMA keeps adding successes and starts 2018 positioning itself as an international benchmark in the association meetings market thanks to prestigious international congresses. Latest case in point: ECCMID (European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases) will hold its 28th edition in IFEMA on from April 21st to 24th 2018. A major meeting on infectious diseases and clinical microbiology which will take place at the North Convention Center and Halls 8, 9 and 10 of IFEMA.
Investigation as a meeting point. The world's leading experts will meet at the most important congress on infectious diseases, infection control and clinical microbiology to present and discuss the latest developments in that field. The event expects 12,000 attendees from 130 countries, to participate in the event. Participants will promote research in the different disciplines of Infectology, generating knowledge exchange, and sharing opinions among government authorities, scientific societies, universities and the community.
Connecting thousands of professionals through training and innovation. The congress will feature more than 200 sessions covering the entire field of infectious diseases and clinical microbiology, including 12 keynote lectures, more than 100 symposia and oral sessions, approximately 20 educational workshops and 20 expert sessions meet-the-expert sessions. As a special highlight, the keynote addres will include presentations by the Nobel Prize laureate as well as a talk on the Spanish influenza on its 100th anniversary. In addition, the conference aims to promote networking and complements the scientific program with a large exhibition of diagnostic and therapeutic products.
