ACTIVITIES

INTERNATIONAL COLLECTOR’S PROGRAMME

ARCOmadrid 2017 offers an exclusive International Collectors' Programme. This programme includes exclusive visits to institutions and private collections, and preferential access to the Fair. In this way, ARCOmadrid ensures the presence of a large group of active collectors and purchasers, suggested by participating galleries, who will visit the Fair, increasing the volume of its business.

XV EXPERTS’ FORUM

FORUM

ARCOmadrid 2017 offers a space for debate on contemporary creation and the art market. The Collecting Forum, directed by Estrella de Diego and developed in partnership with Fundación Banco Santander, and with an activity organized by "Ámbito Cultural" de "El Corte Inglés", directed by Judith Benhamou-Huet, presents to the public their visions about contemporary art and collecting. Other public debates also take place, such as the presentation Pacific Standard Time LA/LA, directed by Pedro de Llano; Harddiskmuseum. Obras Digitales Únicas En Realidad Virtual Por Solimán López, directed by Roberta Bosco; and two talks organized by Argentina Plataforma / ARCO, directed by Agustín Pérez Rubio and by Manuel Segade, about art’s situation in the country.

ENCUENTROS PROFESIONALES

The Professional Meetings are consolidated as a meeting place for curators and art experts worldwide. Reserved for professionals and by invitation only, these platforms for debate offer an opportunity to share reflections, exchange experiences and outline new projects. The programme includes a Museums Working Session organized together with AC/E Acción Cultural Española and ADACE, as well as the 6th Meeting of European and Ibero-American Museums, co-organized by AECID and directed by João Fernandes. In addition to these, other meetings directed by Juan Canela, Chris Sharp, Stefanie Hessler, Catalina Lozano and Miguel Amado will make way for the participation of young curators.
