LIBER 2019 WILL BE HELD IN MADRID WITH SHARJAH AS GUEST OF HONOUR

LIBER, the Feria Internacional del Libro (“International Book Fair”), returns to Madrid from 9 to 11 October 2019 to hold its 37th edition, with Sharjah as Guest of Honour. Organised by IFEMA and promoted by the Federación de Gremios de Editores de España (“Federation of Publishers’ Guilds of Spain”) (FGEE), this will be the largest international book fair for Spanish books, with the capacity to offer business opportunities to major publishing companies and invigorate the book market.

Promising debut for ShoesRoom by Momad

The new event organized by IFEMA in collaboration with FICE, which took place at the La Nave site from 1 to 3 March, attracted more than 2,700 professional visitors and 85 brands to its first event

ShoesRoom by Momad, the new and modern event developed by IFEMA in collaboration with FICE to promote the footwear industry, closed its doors with a promising outlook. The debut of this new commercial platform concept, held from 1 to 3 March in La Nave, a modern industrial setting outside the Feria de Madrid area, was well received in general, both by the 85 participating companies and the 2,700 professional visitors who came to this event with the footwear industry, in which the quality, innovation and creativity of Made in Spain could be confirmed.

Goodbye to Cuca Solana, the Great Lady of Spanish Fashion

For over three decades, she was director of the Pasarela Cibeles, today called Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid. She was currently chairing the Fashion Committee, the advisory body of this show

Today in Madrid, Leonor Pérez Pita, the Great Lady of Spanish Fashion, also known as Cuca Solana, passed away. With her passing, this industry, which she loved deeply and for which she fought throughout her life to give it the visibility and promotion it needed, has lost one of its most important figures.

MOTORTEC AUTOMECHANIKA MADRID 2019 breaks the 40,000 m² barrier

Increases the space for the previous edition by 7%

MOTORTEC AUTOMECHANIKA MADRID has increased its exhibition space by 7% above its last edition in 2017 to over 40 thousand m² and has already beaten the levels of participation for 2009. This will be the 15th leading international Trade Fair Leader for the Automotive Industry in Spain aimed at trade visitors from the Iberian Peninsula, Latin America and North Africa. New record for trade participation at International HVAC&R Exhibition 2019

This year’s fair welcomed 54,781 trade visitors from 88 countries –9.7% more than in 2017– in a highly representative and dynamic edition that has brought together new developments from 374 direct exhibitors.

These results also highlight the growing importance of international visitors, who were up by 20.7% on 2017, accounting for 11% of attendance at this edition.

Extensive Spanish participation at this edition, with 33% of visitors coming from Madrid and 56% from the rest of the country.

At the present positive moment for the industry and with an increasingly dynamic market, Hvac and Refrigeration 2019 (C&R) has held one of its best and most complete editions, achieving all its targets for growth and professional participation.
