Spanish Fashion is preparing to celebrate the 67th edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, the grand platform for promoting Spanish fashion. It is organized by IFEMA and will be held from 24th to 29th January at IFEMA-Feria de Madrid and other venues in the city, a few weeks earlier than usual.

With the 67th edition of the MBFWMadrid fashion show, the city of Madrid will once again become one of the major world capitals of fashion and, as in previous years, it will host a variety of fashion-related activities throughout the city. As in September of last year, on the 24th of January the fashion parades and presentations will take place at different places in the city, while from the 25th until Monday the 29th the fashion parades will take place in Hall 14.1 of IFEMA-Feria de Madrid. On some days there will also be parades in other places in Madrid. Furthermore, MBFWMadrid will host an interesting side programme.

Six days with the best in Spanish design
For six days this new edition of the biggest Spanish design showcase in the world will present proposals from the greatest creative names in our country, as well as new talents, confirming the intense wave of creativity in Spanish fashion today. Since its inception in February 1985, the MBFWMadrid fashion show has hosted fashion on the catwalk for more than 300 Spanish designers. The new edition's programme of parades and planned activities will be announced shortly.

As usual, the last day of the MBFWMadrid fashion show programme will address Samsung EGO emergent design, a key element in the regeneration of Spanish fashion that, in its eleven years running, has become an indispensable intermediary between young talents and the fashion industry, the media and textile companies. Furthermore, fifteen young creators will be exhibiting their creations at the Samsung Ego Showroom in Cibelespacio during MBFWMadrid.

Preview of 2018 dates
In 2018 the show's two editions will be held earlier than in previous years. As announced months ago, IFEMA, the Institution that organizes MBFWMadrid, decided to move the the show's dates forward for its two 2018 editions as part of the strategy to internationalize this major Spanish fashion event and thus attract more buyers and foreign press. Thus, the first event of the year will take place in January, a few weeks before its usual dates in February, and the second edition will be held from 5th to 9th July, instead of in September. In both cases, the event will be held immediately after the Haute Couture shows of Paris.

For international buyers, MBFWMadrid has organized a programme in which representatives of prominent points of sale and fashion distribution outlets from different countries of Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Latin America and Russia will be present.

Sponsorships
Once again, the next edition of MBFWMadrid will receive vital support from the sponsoring brands. For the moment, 19 leading firms have already confirmed their support for this edition. Mercedes-Benz, L'Oréal Paris and Inditex are its main sponsors; Samsung, Iberia, Font Vella, Cîroc, Royal Bliss, are general sponsors; Facebook / Instagram, Dyson, Only YOU Hotels, IED Madrid, Rodilla, Kaiku Caffe Latte and ESNE are collaborators; and Ecoembes is the event's environmental partner. Carrighan, Francisco de Vitoria University and Rey Juan Carlos University will also be present at the event.
