During the Fair, IFEMA and AMBE will also be holding the #WEBIKE Forum, a place at which to come together and present some of the most innovative initiatives in the cycling world.

Liberty Seguros will be presenting the results of its “Cycling to Work” initiative during the Fair, at 11 am on Thursday on the #WEBIKE Forum stage.

Liberty launched the initiative in 2016 to encourage its employees in Madrid, Barcelona and Bilbao to travel to work every day by bicycle. Six months later, the number of employees who cycle to the Barcelona office has doubled, and the figure has tripled in Madrid. They have estimated a total of 28,000 km cycled, which means a reduction amounting to approximately 2 tonnes of CO2 emissions.

Encouraging people to cycle to work is one of the consequences of our commitment to the health and happiness of our employees, as well as showing how much we care for the environment. The results from this past semester show that not only are there different ways to commute, but also more healthy, sustainable and affordable ways,” says María Eugenia Muguerza, Talent Director at Liberty Seguros and a user of the Cycling to Work service.

The #WEBIKE forum will also invite other businesses and initiatives to present their most innovative products, which includes showing how to assemble a bike, introducing the new anti-burst tyres, cycling trail books, a presentation of the book entitled “La importancia de la bicicleta” (The Importance of Bicycles) by Ricardo Marqués, the Bajo Tietar – Gredos Sur marathon, the Bkool trainer system, and a range of other contributions, making the #WEBIKE Forum a melting pot for all bike-related ideas and initiatives.

The #WEBIKE Forum will be taking place within the UNIBIKE Fair, from Thursday 21 to Sunday 24 September, from 10 am to 8 pm, on the Stage in Hall 12 of IFEMA.
