The new Fair Organising Committee is chaired by Antonio Pérez Turró, President of AES

Organised by IFEMA, SICUR 2020 will be held from the 25 to the 28 February at Feria de Madrid

SICUR, International Security, Safety and Fire Exhibition, has begun preparations to hold its 22nd edition which, organised by IFEMA, will take place at Feria de Madrid from the 25 to 28 February 2020. This large professional event set around the world of comprehensive safety has set its sights on continuing to promote its internationalisation, representation and commercial efficiency, as well as on reinforcing the trade fair on its focus on knowledge, digital transformation and its role as an ongoing reference for the sector.

One of the first steps for SICUR was to gather its Organising Committee, chaired in this edition by Antonio Pérez Turró, President of AES, the Spanish Association of Security Companies, with the three Vice-presidents, Pablo Ramos, Vice-president of ASEPAL, Association of Personal Protection Equipment Companies;  Antonio Tortosa, Vice-president of TECNIFUEGO-AESPI, Spanish Association of Fire Protection Companies, and Angel Córdoba, President of APROSER, Professional Association of Private Security Services Companies.

During this meeting the lines of work being developed to promote the internationalisation of the fair were presented, which focus on the presence of SICUR in the main international reference events on security, as well as the intensification of the Foreign Guests Program.

There are also plans for an increase in the number of participating companies, which will take place in an orderly manner, thanks to the expansion of the SICUR exhibition area, which will occupy halls 1, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 10 at Feria de Madrid, two more than in the latest edition. In addition, the Fair will increase its commercial efficiency, by organising a new schedule of b2b meetings.

SICUR will also be held alongside SMART DOORS, the Doors and Automation Trade Fair, with the resulting increase in mutual synergies between both fairs.

Among the actions aimed at promoting knowledge, work is being done, in collaboration with the sector associations, on the FORO SICUR program of conferences, which, as in each edition, will focus on renewed and cutting-edge content in a highly dynamic format that, along with the novelties of SICUR, the exhibitions and product demonstrations, and the Gallery of New Products, will place the world of security in a highly relevant position.

The digital transformation will also play an important role in the fair, with the development of a new website, a digital marketing strategy and a service for free wi-fi connection for SICUR visitors at IFEMA.

SICUR will also become a continuous reference in the sector thanks to the launch of the online newsletter SICUR NEWS, which in the next months will provide information of interest on the trade fair, its activities and the main novelties in the Workplace Safety, Fire and Emergency Safety and Security, along the same line as offered in the Trade Fair.

Excellent outlook

The positive balance, dynamism and growth of SICUR 2018, which brought together 1,344 participating companies from 29 countries -651 with direct participation, 13 por ciento more- and 43,732 professional visitors, from 81 countries, opens an excellent outlook for the 2020 edition, where all of the representation and professional presence parameters are expected to grow.

Large industry presence

SICUR 2020 will once again be strongly backed by the main associations and institutions related to private security, workplace security, the world of prevention, professionals and public safety authorities, which comprise a complete working group made up of the entire industry present at the fair, increasing interaction, knowledge and synergies among exhibitors.

In addition to AES, TECNIFUEGO-AESPI and ASEPAL, among these associations are APROSER (Professional Association of Private Security Services Companies), ACAES (Catalan Association of Security Companies), ASELF (Spanish Fire-fighting Association), APDPE (Professional Association of Private Detectives of Spain), ANEPA (National Association of Accredited Prevention Organisations), CEPREVEN (Association of Investigation for Life and Asset Security), APTB (Professional Association of Firefighting Technicians), CEUSS (Business Confederation of Security and Services Users), ADSI (Association of Comprehensive Security Executives), AEDS (Spanish Association of Security Directors), APICI (Professional Association of Fire Protection Engineering), ASPREN (National Association of Third-Party Prevention Services), AMAT (Association of Workplace Accident Mutual Insurance Companies), AESPLA (Spanish Association of Workplace Prevention Services), ASIS España, National Police, SEPROSE (Guardia Civil), Unidad Militar de Emergencias, Ertzaintza, Mossos dEscuadra, Fundación MAPFRE, Government Regional Office in Madrid, National Institute for Workplace Health and Safety and Asociación Foro EFITEC.
