Increases the space for the previous edition by 7 por ciento

MOTORTEC AUTOMECHANIKA MADRID has increased its exhibition space by 7 por ciento above its last edition in 2017 to over 40 thousand m² and has already beaten the levels of participation for 2009. This will be the 15th leading international Trade Fair Leader for the Automotive Industry in Spain aimed at trade visitors from the Iberian Peninsula, Latin America and North Africa. The expectation aroused by it is cause for optimism, and IFEMA, the event’s organiser, forecasts over 60 thousand trade visitors, including more than 30 thousand representatives of workshops in Spain and Portugal, keen to find out about the latest developments in the future of the workshop.

MOTORTEC AUTOMECHANIKA MADRID will host more than 700 exhibitor companies –as well as 1300 brands– from 27 countries, among which are companies such as Meyle, Pemebla, Osram, Hella, Grupo Soledad, Tiresur, Safame, Bosch, Delphi, Schaeffler, Valeo, Continental, Gruppo Andel, ASER, Cecauto, Dipart, PSA Distrigo, Recalvi, Grupo Serca, Comercial, Impormovil, VW Pro Service, VW, among others.

MOTORTEC AUTOMECHANIKA MADRID will once again offer exhibiting companies a set of tools including communication campaigns, guest buyer programmes, B2B meetings, workshops for presentations, to offer a productive and profitable experience. Trade visitors will have access to the most current offering from the industry as well as services to enable them to make their attendance at the Fair an efficient one.

To complement the commercial exhibition there will be a busy agenda of professional meetings, and the main one will be for Workshop Networks. These will deal with today’s reality of these Networks and the challenges faced by their managers, repairers, members and suppliers in the face of the disruptive phenomena that make up the ecosystem of the new mobility trends. In this same context, an unpublished survey will be presented on the “Brand Knowledge and Perception of Workshop Networks Operating in Spain,” the result of in-depth research carried out among workshops and motorists.

The first Congress on Industrial Vehicle Workshops will also be especially relevant. It will analyse trends in industrial vehicle maintenance and repair from the perspective and challenges posed by the new mobility trends for passengers and goods. An unpublished industry-wide survey will be presented on “Workshops and the Commercial Vehicle Maintenance Market in Spain,” and will analyse key aspects for efficiency and profitability of workshops and their suppliers in the short, medium and long term.

Other equally relevant meetings are the Fleet Day, organised by Cojali/Jaltest, on the 13th (MOTORTRUCK Forum - Truck Challenge, Stand 7E13); “The Major Challenges Facing the Service Station Sector,” organised by Lafon, also on the 13th (MOTORTEC Forum - DISTRIGO, Stand 5D20), or the day on “The Circular Economy in the Automotive Sector,” in collaboration with SERNAUTO, on Friday 15th March (MOTORTRUCK Forum - Truck Challenge, Stand 7E13).

One of the main competitions organised at the fair will be the Second Year of the Best Motortec Technician Competition, the final of which will take place on the 15th at the Motortec-Brembo Workshop Forum with more than 300 mechanics taking part under the guidance of Carsmarobe. There will also be the Trucks Challenge competition for IV mechanics coordinated by Cojali, S.L.

Finally, on the intense agenda of activities, the dealerships association, FACONAUTO, will hold the Second Official After-sales Observatory on 15 March 2019, as part of the MOTORTEC AUTOMECHANIKA MADRID conference programme. The conference, which will bring together leading experts and more than 200 industry professionals, will address new challenges faced by dealers and try to foresee what they can expect in the medium term. The intention of this Observatory is to present essential after-sales data about Spain to help dealers make strategic decisions in this vital area of their business.
